Habilitation Training Specialist (Hts)

HTS Qualifications and Description

Title: Habilitation Training Specialist (HTS)

Supervisor: Program Coordinator (PC)

Employment Status: Full or Part-time Hourly

Qualifications:

1. Current certification in CPR and First Aid

2. Proof of citizenship or alien who has authorization from Department of Immigration and Naturalization to be employed in the U.S.A

3. Valid Oklahoma Drivers license/ Car insurance and a reliable safe vehicle.

4. 18 years of age
5. No history of felony or misdemeanor assault or battery conviction

6. No history of committing abuse, neglect or exploitation of a child or vulnerable adult

7. Not currently undergoing investigation for alleged abuse, neglect or exploitation

8. Complete Orientation Packet

9. Valid DDS-37/38 or completion of the following training within the timeframes

  • Foundations training within 30 days of employment
  • Effective Teaching and Learning I within 30 days of employment
  • Residential Health and Safety within 90 days of employment
  • Communication class within 120 days of employment
  • Skill building class within 120 days of employment
  • MAT if the individual needs medication administrated
  • 12 hours of DDSD approved training annually following the first year of employment

Major Functions:

1. Preserving the health and welfare of the consumer.

2. May Assist in cleaning while training client in the care and cleaning of their home.

3. Providing training and assistance in activities of daily living such as the following:

  • Money handling including making change, budgeting, checking and saving

accounts.

  • Cooking including nutrition, identification and use of utensils and appliances.
  • Reading usage, writing, spelling and the use of measurements.
  • Use of the telephone.
  • Transportation
  • Housekeeping
  • Clothing Care
  • Self-Care
  • Personal Hygiene
  • Purchasing of food and non-food items for the home

4. Proper documentation of consumer's records.

5. Any other reasonable function the Program Coordinator or administrative staff requests during the normal course of the performance of job duties.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
