Hair Stylist / Barber

Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Personal Care Cosmetologist to provide in-home professional beauty services to elderly, disabled, or recovering custoneed.

This unique role combines the expertise of a licensed cosmetologist with the supportive duties of a home health aide, helping clients maintain their personal hygiene, appearance, and overall well-being in the comfort of their own homes, rehabilitation, hospice, or hospital.

The ideal candidate is empathetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about enhancing clients’ confidence and quality of life through grooming, styling, and daily assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional cosmetology services, including hair cutting, styling, coloring, shampooing, scalp treatments, manicures, pedicures, basic facials, and makeup application.

• Monitor and report changes in clients’ condition, vital signs (if trained), or emotional well-being to salon manager, supervisors or family members.

• Offer companionship, emotional support, and engage clients in light activities to promote mental well-being.

• Schedule appointments, maintain client records, and ensure compliance with care plans.

• Sanitize and maintain cosmetology tools and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards.

***We are mobile, and it is a requirement to maintain organized and clean supplies for regulatory compliance and client safety. Extensive training will be given during training and field evaluations***

• Active state cosmetology license and Professional insurance required in Kentucky & Ohio.

• Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Aide (PCA), or equivalent training program preferred.

• CPR and First Aid certification (required or willing to obtain).

• High school diploma or GED.• At least 1-2 years of experience in cosmetology and personal care/home health aide roles; experience working with elderly or disabled clients is a plus.

• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation to get to work, and clean driving record (to operate company vehicle).

***Employees day begins at HHH Salon (Florence,KY), a breakdown of the day is discussed while loading out supplies for the day. The day ends at HHH Salon (Florence, KY) for load in and cleanup***

• Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and MVR, health clearance including TB test, Flu Vac, Hep ). (to operate company vehicle and work inside healthcare organizations.

• Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift/assist clients (up to 50 lbs), and perform manual tasks.

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, and mobility support.

• Perform light housekeeping tasks related to where you preform service (Clean up hair, but leave client better than we found them)
