Duties

• Perform professional hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, color treatments, and extensions to meet client preferences.
• Apply makeup for various occasions such as weddings, photoshoots, or special events with precision and flair.
• Manage hair extensions and eyelash extension applications to enhance client beauty goals.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas, tools, and products following industry regulations.
• Use salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, update client records, and manage retail sales efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service by listening to clients’ needs, offering expert advice, and upselling retail products when appropriate.
• Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing bookings, and supporting store management tasks.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication and collaboration.

Skills

• Proficiency in hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, straight razor shaves, and hair threading.
• Experience with hair extensions application and eyelash extension procedures.
• Strong knowledge of color theory to create customized looks that complement each client’s features.
• Familiarity with salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and retail management.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Ability to perform nail care services when needed and provide makeup application tailored to individual styles.
• Retail sales skills including upselling products like hair care items, cosmetics, and accessories using retail math principles.
• Store management experience is a plus for those interested in advancing into leadership roles.
• Competence in barbering techniques such as straight razor shaves enhances versatility.
