The Hardware Installation and Repair Technician performs on-site installation and basic servicing of GPS tracking systems and sensor attachments. The role focuses on proper wiring, correct sensor integration, and reliable device operation in vehicles and fixed installations.
- Installation & Wiring: Perform installation of GPS devices and sensor attachments, including MDVR, door, and other sensors. Execute proper building wiring and basic electrical works.
- Electrical Layout Application: Read and follow electrical layouts and wiring diagrams to ensure correct power and signal connections.
- Sensor Integration & Testing: Install, connect, and test sensors to confirm accurate data transmission and device functionality.
- Basic Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve common wiring, power, and connectivity issues; escalate complex concerns when necessary.
- Documentation & Compliance: Complete basic installation reports and follow safety and installation standards.
- Minimum Qualifications: Completed a vocational course in Auto Electrical, ECT, or Automotive
- 6 months to 1 year relevant experience
- A background in automotive/auto electrician for GPS, MDVR, and fuel sensor is an advantage
- Knowledge in automotive and electrical systems; basic electronics
- Background in building electrical system is an advantage
- Computer literate
- Having a motorcycle is an advantage
