The Head of Operations – International will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the International business unit, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all operational aspects. This role involves strategic planning, managing operational processes and collaborating with various departments to drive operational excellence be they locally driven or part of a Group change initiative. The Head of Operations – International will report directly to the CEO and play a critical role in the company's growth and success.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operational Management: Oversee and manage the company's operational processes, ensuring they are efficient and effective.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Project Management: Lead and manage key projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the implementation of any regulatory changes and compliance with relevant regulations and standard, working with the subject matter experts in the central functions.
- Underwriting Process: Act as the guardian of the end-to-end underwriting process review work, ensuring compliance to required service levels through monitoring management information (MI) and driving improvements.
- Issue Spotting: Identify and address operational issues promptly to ensure smooth business operations.
- Credit Control: Support the implementation of credit control processes to manage and mitigate financial risks.
- Change Management: Assess the impact of change programs and coach teams to effectively implement these changes.
- Customer Operationalization: Develop and operationalize processes to enable the company to engage in consumer business effectively.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure business continuity.
- Team Leadership: Build and maintain a high-performance culture through effective leadership, communication, and collaboration.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to drive operational improvements and support business objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for operational enhancements and implementing best practices.
- Departmental Integration: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between adjacent departments such as marketing, IT, Underwriting, Risk, and others to ensure cohesive and aligned operations

- Education: A Degree is preferred or relevant business experience.
- Experience: Demonstrable experience in operations management in a leadership role.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent strategic planning and project management abilities.
- Proficiency in operational performance metrics and KPIs.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk management practices.
