Head Preschool Teacher

Job Summary
The head preschool teacher at Little Bumblebee’s Early Learning Center LLC plays a critical leadership role in creating a warm, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 3 to 5 years. This position is responsible for implementing the early learning curriculum, modeling best practices in child development, mentoring assistant teachers, and fostering strong partnerships with families.

The Head Preschool Teacher serves as a classroom leader and supports the overall mission of the center. Our mission is to nurture young minds through love, learning, and joyful exploration.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with developmental milestones
  • Supervise and guide assistant teachers and classroom aides
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment
  • Build trusting relationships with children and families through daily communication and family engagement
  • Observe and document each child’s growth, development, and behavior using assessment tools
  • Ensure compliance with all local licensing regulations and health/safety procedures
  • Provide ongoing feedback to staff and assist in new teacher orientation
  • Collaborate with the Director on curriculum enhancements and classroom needs
  • Manage classroom schedules, routines, and transitions smoothly
  • Respond effectively to challenging behaviors using positive discipline techniques
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities

Experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Knowledge of early childhood best practices, curriculum planning, and classroom management
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for working with children and supporting their growth

Schedule & Pay:

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday 7:30am-5:30pm
  • Pay based on experience and qualifications
  • Eligible for paid holidays and PTO
