Taggart Earthmoving ltd is a family-owned business that started in 1953 and have been part of many large projects in and around Canterbury and the wider South Island. We specialise in large scale earthworks projects, site works, drainage, demolition, heavy haulage and shingle processing and sales. Here at Taggart, we take pride in our work, because of this we are known for many awards and the high-quality workmanship with any project we take on.

• An ability to lead a proactive and positive safety culture
• Passion for health and safety accompanied by excellent communication skills
• Solutions focused with an ability to act in a timely manner
• Excited to work with the teams to improve safety practices
• Positive attitude with an ability to complete staff inductions and training
• Ability to work to the Taggart Core Values

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Qualification in Health and Safety
• Working knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
• A proven track record in a similar industry
• Experience developing and implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and providing training
• Competent with end-to-end health and safety tasks
• High personal standards and a positive attitude towards health and safety
