Madsen Construction Equipment is Newfoundland and Labrador’s full-service dealer for Case Construction Equipment and other leading construction equipment brands. We are looking for heavy equipment technicians who take a professional approach to equipment maintenance and repair. The successful candidate must be customer-focused with good communication and problem-solving skills, and above all, enthusiasm for a job well done.

Compensation, Benefits & Training

· Madsen offers a competitive compensation package $37-43/hr

Responsibilities for the role include:

· Diagnose mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic problems using computerized and other test equipment.

· Complete a full range of service tasks – inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and overhauls, field service / breakdown repairs and a timely and economical manner.

· Carry out after hours and field work, in potentially inclement weather is a requirement of the job. Work may be physically demanding, requires high degree of mobility/dexterity.

Qualifications & Skills will include:

· Red Seal Certification for Heavy Equipment Technician.

· Five years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician. Experience in an equipment dealership will be considered an asset.

· Strong work ethic, commitment to efficient work practices – ability to work in a team and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

· Commitment to workplace health and safety.

· Strong understanding of diagnostic process – logical approach to fault determination.

· Ability to communicate repair options and provide recommendations to customers.

· Good documentation skills – inspections, service reports.

· Ability to interpret technical information and effectively apply it to practical problems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00-$44.00 per hour
