The Field Project Coordinator plays a key role in the planning, execution, and completion of field project activities. Working closely with the Project Manager, Area Managers, Site Supervisors, and field crews, this position ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, on budget and in compliance with all standards such as safety and quality. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, organized, proactive, and adaptable with excellent communication skills and field experience. This position will be primarily based out of our Kamloops location, however travel throughout British Columbia to project sites, will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the coordination and execution of field-based projects from initiation to closeout.
- Assist in full-cycle project management by helping manage day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects, ensure completion of administrative requirements (Daily Labour and Equipment Reports, HARA’s, Incident and Safety Reports, Purchase Orders, Material Tracking, RFI’s, Transmittals/Submittals, Change Requests/Orders etc.
- Assist in scheduling crews, equipment, and materials to ensure timely project delivery.
- Assist with bid preparation, ensuring accuracy prior to submission.
- Assist with project financials, invoicing, and estimates.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify issues, and provide on-site support.
- Track and report on project milestones, progress, costs, and issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.
- Liaise between Project Management Office (PMO), Area Manager, office staff, field crews,clients, and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, site photos, and logs.
- Assist with permitting, inspections, and coordination with local authorities.
- Manage inventory and requisitions of field materials and equipment.
- Identify potential risks or delays and proactively recommend solutions.
- Support quality assurance and control efforts on site by documenting and performing inspections
- Supporting procurement by preparing material takeoffs and ordering site supplies and materials.
- Assisting with project closeout tasks, including site demobilization, final inspections, and documentation handoff.
- Attending client or contractor meetings and preparing meeting minutes when required.
- Representing the company in the field with professionalism, respect, and a customer-first approach.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma, certificate or degree in Construction Management, Project Management, EngineeringTechnology, or equivalent Field Experience/Trades knowledge, will be considered.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, or working towards this designation, would be an asset.
- Minimum 2+ years of field experience in powerline construction, project management, utilities,,or infrastructure coordination or a combination of the above.
- 1+ years of experience in an project coordinator capacity, would be an asset.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, job site practices and safety regulations and field procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, etc.).
- Familiar with ISO 9001:2015.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Experience with reading and interpreting proposals and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and result-orientated with the ability to interpret and effectively manage competing priorities and timelines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as highly effective negotiation, diplomatic, and conflict resolution skills.
- Valid driver’s license, clean drivers abstract and willingness to travel to project sites and be away from home head quarters for multiple days as needed.
Additional Work requirements:
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and fairly clean drivers abstract.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Travel to construction site locations will be required.

Pay: $62,000.00-$93,000.00 per year
