Main Purpose of the Job
The Sales Assistant purpose is to demonstrate energy and passion for creating the ultimate customer experience. By focusing on the customer experience, our Sales Assistant team contribute to the store’s sales and profitability by enhancing customer engagement and commitment to the brand.
All Accent Group policies and procedures must be upheld and adhered to at all times.

Key Requirements
Specific duties and reasonability Measures of Performance
1. Customer Experience and Sales
  • Ensure that correct customer experience model and quality of the selling steps processes are executed in every customer interaction.
  • Support in maintaining store presentation and hygiene standards and shows initiative to maintain these standards
  • Ensuring any complaints from customers about products are quickly resolved, or by referral to Manager if appropriate
  • Demonstrates knowledge of stock procedures and assisting management if requested.
  • Ensure that other duties assigned from time to time are actioned in an efficient and professional manner
Sales
  • Achieve personal sales and KPI targets set
  • Maximising sales by driving and offering our add-ons (e.g. socks, sprays, accessories etc) in every customer interaction
  • Knowledge of the store KPI's e.g. store targets, sales targets, UPT, daily planner
  • Knowledge of where to find and record daily sales targets
  • Understands the expectations of personal targets
  • Starting to demonstrate knowledge of how to self-navigate to increase KPI's through various sales techniques
  • Able to complete daily planner if required
  • Sales & KPI reports
  • Completion of training on COMBI and other training platforms
1. Workplace Health & Safety
  • Take care of your health and safety and the safety of others
  • Avoid short cuts which could put yourself or someone else at risk
  • Cooperate with Accent Group when they are taking action to improve health and safety
  • Follow safety policies and procedures including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required Report work-related hazards and incidents
  • Complete all required WHS training
  • Other duties as required from time to time
  • Complete Incident Report accurately and within 24 hours of the incident occurring
  • Reporting any issues to management immediately
2. Product Knowledge
  • Knowledge of key store products and able to memorise further information regarding the businesses best seller's, e.g. product price, promotions, materials, history
  • Completes a 'pair check' product in every transaction consistently
  • Continually looks to expand and broaden their knowledge of products
  • Attends all product training sessions
  • Completion of all training on COMBI and other training platforms
  • Up to date on all knowledge of products within store
3. Team Collaboration & Rosters
  • Knowledge on how give and welcome feedback to management
  • Shares important or relevant information with the team
  • Works well within a team and readily supports all team members
  • Able to listen actively to constructive feedback provided and action
  • Knowledge of rostering rules compliance
  • Understands the procedure for swapping shifts with team members of similar level & capabilities, and procedure for providing personal availability for work.
  • Responsible for the individual expectation of clocking in and out of all shifts and break
  • Follows correct policies and procedures
4. Banking & Loss Prevention
  • Knowledge of store float, banking and Till Clearance procedures with the ability to carry out in the absence of management
  • Knowledge and ability to ensure bag check process is being adhered to with all customers
  • Knowledge of what Loss Prevention is and when to be contacted
  • Understands the importance of data integrity within the store
  • Loss Prevention and Safety knowledge
