Homemaker Companion/Caregiver

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Homemaker Companion/Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in their homes or community settings. This vital role involves assisting with daily living activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence for clients with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness. Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support when necessary
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper food safety standards are maintained
• Monitor patient health by observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to COORDINATOR
• Support medication REMINDERS
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and organization of living spaces
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks, errands, and transportation to appointments or community activities

Requirements

• Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing home settings, or group homes is highly preferred
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy
• Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and protocols
• Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing signs of health deterioration or emergencies
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
• Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation are often necessary for community-based assignments
