Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, making them feel immediately welcome and appreciated
• Manage reservation lists and coordinate seating arrangements efficiently to minimize wait times
• Answer guest inquiries via phone and in person with professionalism and enthusiasm
• Maintain clear communication with the service team to ensure smooth flow of guest seating and service
• Assist with guest needs during their visit, addressing concerns promptly and courteously
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar to process orders and payments accurately
• Uphold cleanliness and organization at the host stand, ensuring a positive first impression for all visitors

Skills

• Proven experience as a host or hostess in a food service or restaurant setting
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred
• Ability to handle fast-paced environments while maintaining professionalism and composure
• Experience in hotel or hospitality guest services is a plus
• Knowledge of guest relations principles and hospitality standards to enhance guest experiences
