Hostess/Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. Your responsibilities will include welcoming and seating guests, handling cash transactions, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality (always with a smile).

Duties

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, creating a positive first impression.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
• Process cash and credit transactions while maintaining accuracy.
• Assist guests with inquiries about menu items and restaurant services.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
• Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information as needed.
• Support food service operations by assisting servers during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant setting is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and willingness to help both guests and team members.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
