Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Host/Hostess to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact, ensuring each guest feels valued and excited to experience our restaurant. Your enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and ability to manage guest flow will set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival with genuine enthusiasm and a positive attitude
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or restaurant offerings
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and ensure smooth seating flow during busy hours
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate seating arrangements and special requests
• Handle guest inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information and assistance
• Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience

Requirements

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
• Previous hotel or guest services experience is advantageous but not required
• Knowledge of hospitality standards, including serving, guest relations, and phone etiquette is beneficial
