The HR Business Partner drives retail performance through workforce stability, leadership capability and fair, compliant people decisions across their scope


You will excel and enjoy this position if you are ready to actively handle the following missions:


HR Partnering:

  • Act as strategic people partner to Retail Operations and Area Managers, converting business performance into people priorities
  • Drive workforce and performance discussions using KPIs, defining corrective actions with leaders
  • Lead people-related change initiatives and organizational transitions with clear stakeholder alignment
  • Ensure consistent, fair, and compliant application of HR frameworks, policies, and standards
  • Drive sustainable workforce planning and staffing stability across the retail organization
  • Act as trusted advisor on complex people matters, aligning business objectives with employee impact and legal requirements
  • Apply a data-driven HR approach to support decision-making


People Development

  • Drive the performance management cycle and ensure high-quality development outcomes
  • Enable leaders through coaching, feedback, and performance conversations
  • Lead talent identification and succession planning to ensure strong talent pipelines
  • Promote inclusive leadership and actively drive DE&I priorities


Employee Relations:

  • Own employee relations risk management and ensure compliant handling of people matters
  • Coach managers to address employee issues independently and advise on complex cases
  • Translate engagement and feedback insights into targeted action plans


HR Operations:

  • Analyze workforce and people metrics to generate actionable insights
  • Drive HR initiatives and projects with clear outcomes
  • Collaborate with HR Administration to ensure data quality and smooth processes
  • Support payroll preparation and related administrative tasks


KPIs:

HR accountable (primary):

  • Time to hire
  • New hire turnover
  • Rolling 12-month turnover
  • Sickness rate
  • Internal staffing rate
  • Performance review completion rate
  • Succession coverage for key roles
  • Percentage of employees with disabilities


HR contributes (shared):

  • Client experience metrics
  • Sales vs. budget (through staffin, capability and leadership effectiveness)

Hard Skills:

  • Strong expertise in Employee Relations and Labor Law
  • Performance Management and Workforce Planning (FTE/HC, productivity)
  • Ethics & Compliance mindset

  • Stakeholder management in a retail field environment
  • Strong business acumen and data analysis skills

Experience & Technical Skills

  • University degree in Economics or a comparable field
  • At least 5 years of HR experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally retail or multi-site structures
  • Proven track record in reducing turnover and improving staffing stability
  • Experience partnering with field leadership (Area / Store Manager level)
  • Analytical, KPI-driven, and hands-on working style
  • High level of proactivity, empathy, and self-reflection
  • Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel
  • Fluent in German and English
