Hr Generalist

Autumnwood Mature Lifestyle Communities is currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our Management Team.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide strategic HR advice regarding policies and procedures, employment laws and regulations and employee relations
• Perform full recruitment cycle including review of job descriptions, creating and posting jobs, screening resumes, completing phone and in person interviews, regularly communicating with hiring managers regarding the status of positions etc.
• Prepare documentation and perform activities related to employee on-boarding, termination, leave of absence and internal transfers
• Oversee and manage the performance management and review process for all employees and ensure performance evaluation methods are adhered to by all supervisors and managers
• Assist with the handling of employee complaints and incidents while adhering to policies and procedures
• Respond to inquiries from Employees, government agencies and financial institutions, as required
• Maintain records in accordance with all laws and regulations
• Perform other duties and complete additional projects as assigned, commensurate with job knowledge and experience

Skills and Experience

• Post-Secondary Education in Human Resources ore related field of study is required
• CHRL designation or pursuing CHRL considered an asset
• A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated HR and payroll experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of The Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, The Human Rights Commission of Canada and The Accessibility for Ontarians Disability Act
• Experience with Health and Safety would be an asset
• Proven track record of acting ethically and handling sensitive and confidential information with integrity
• Previous experience resolving workplace issues, complaints and leading sensitive investigations
• Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with the Management Team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
