PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The HR Generalist plays a crucial role in managing a diverse range of human resource functions, with a primary focus on compensation and benefits. This position involves providing assistance and support in recruitment, employee relations, training and development, and administrative functions. The HR Generalist ensures that HR operations run smoothly and efficiently, aligning with the company's overarching strategic goals.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Compensation and Benefits

  • Oversee daily attendance to ensure precise tracking and reporting of employee hours worked, maintaining compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare and submit bi-monthly timekeeping reports, including thorough calculations of overtime, to ensure accurate compensation.
  • Conduct comprehensive orientation sessions for newly hired employees, facilitating their smooth integration into the company and timely issuance of necessary credentials.
  • Maintain and update employee 201 files using ERP systems and Excel spreadsheets, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Manage the enrollment process for life insurance, including the addition and deletion of beneficiaries, to provide employees with the necessary coverage.
  • Prepare and submit Requests for Payment (RFP) for monthly government remittances.
  • Monitor and ensure the timely payment of monthly government remittances
  • Certify loan applications for employees filing for loans through the SSS and Pag-IBIG portals, streamlining access to financial resources.
  • Process requests for the monthly remittance of SSS and Pag-IBIG loan amortizations, ensuring compliance with payment schedules.
  • Upload payment receipts for mandatory benefits and calculate advances for maternity and sickness benefits, tracking reimbursements to the company.
  • Facilitate the release of documents for resigning employees, including clearance forms, exit interview essays, turnover forms, transition maps, and resignation acceptance letters.
  • Conduct exit interviews with departing employees to gather valuable insights and feedback for organizational improvement.
  • Ensure the timely release of final pay, securing signatures on affidavits of release, waivers, quitclaims, and BIR Form 2316 as proof of release.
  • Issue Certificates of Employment (COE) for both current and resigned employees, supporting their future career endeavors.
  • Submit monthly employee reports to the DOLE portal, ensuring hard copies are printed and appropriately filed for compliance.
  • Attend meetings and orientations as required by government agencies, including SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG, to stay updated on policies and regulations.
  • Provide attendance reports to the project coordinator on the 15th and 30th of each month, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Verify and approve Paid Time Off (PTO) requests for employees
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Flexibly undertake assigned tasks as needed to support HR operations.

Employee Engagement and Relations

  • Partner with the HR team to design and execute various company activities, fostering a positive workplace culture and enhancing employee engagement.
  • Planning and coordination of company-wide events, ensuring they align with organizational goals and promote team spirit.
  • Address employee inquiries and concerns regarding company policies, focusing on employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health. Provide timely and accurate information to enhance employee understanding and engagement.

Admin

  • Support various committees related to wellness, training, health and safety, workplace culture, and internal communications as needed. Facilitate the development and implementation of initiatives that promote a positive and healthy work environment.
  • Collaborate with the property management company to manage all aspects of building access, usage, restrictions, and safety protocols. Ensure that all new and visiting staff members receive comprehensive briefings on these matters.
  • Assist in overseeing transportation services by coordinating with drivers and messengers to efficiently plan and execute travel itineraries.

EDUCATION, TECHNICAL CAPABILITY AND CAREER:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field, or substantial relevant experience in human resources is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating expertise in compensation and benefits.
  • Experienced in training in compensation strategies, organizational planning, organizational development, employee relations, employment law, workplace safety, training, and labor relations.
  • A dynamic player who possesses the ability to think strategically at a business-wide level while also being hands-on.
  • Highly collaborative and service-oriented, with a passion for problem-solving and a knack for finding innovative solutions.
  • Must exhibit high energy, a positive attitude, and a good sense of humor to foster a vibrant workplace culture.
  • Highly organized and efficient in managing daily responsibilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong consulting abilities, enabling effective influence and resolution of issues.
