About the Role

We are looking for a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Coordinator to join our Meadow Fresh dairy manufacturing site in Longburn, Palmerston North. As the HSE Coordinator you will work with the HSE Manager to drive a safety culture across all parts of the site; maintain compliance and drive Goodman Fielder's commitment to Safety.

To make this happen, your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and dive HSE improvement through supporting the implementation of risk reduction initiatives
• Conduct safety training across the site including safety inductions for new starters and contractors
• Undertake Safety Walks and work site inspections including hazard reporting/identification
• Undertake small investigations of Safety or Risk incidents and near-misses
• Coordination of the HSE Committee
• Maintenance of H&S documentation and registers

About You

For this role to be a success you will be a HSE professional that is passionate about Safety and driving a Safety first culture.

Skillsets, qualifications and experience we are looking for include:

• Some prior experience in a Health, Safety and Environmental role with an understanding of NZ OH&S
• Holder of or working towards relevant HSE certification or qualifications
• Experience of working in a High Risk environment or manufacturing industry would be beneficial
• Risk assessment experience (including JSA's & development of SOP's) and auditing experience
