Role Detail
Reporting to a People & Development (P&D) Manager, as a core member of the P&D team (approx 65 nationally), you will often collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders, across our various offices and provide administrative and organisational support.
Based in our Sydney CBD office, with a balanced approach to WFH, you will have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of P&D related projects and initiatives, supporting both the P&D team and the firm.
Working closely with our national P&D Coordinators, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting in all areas of the employment life cycle from onboarding of new staff, preparing employment contracts and correspondence, change in employment conditions, and arranging exits
  • Liaising with payroll regarding employee entitlements, benefits, parental leave payments, change to work arrangements, leave arrangements
  • WorkDay system updates and maintenance
  • Maintaining P&D records and electronic personnel files
  • Reporting
  • General P&D Support
  • Involvement in national and local P&D team projects and initiatives
About You

This role gives a unique experience to gain exposure across many areas of a top tier law firm, utilising your ability to adapt and tailor to your environment, and your people centric approach. You will also bring:
  • 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role with a natural curiosity to learn more
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • General working knowledge of Workday or a similar HRIS system (will be looked on favourably).
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information
  • An understanding of Human Resources practices in a large organisation
  • Knowledge of the legal or professional services environment
