Human Resources Information System Analyst

General Information

Work Location: 5213 4th Avenue Circle East, Bradenton, Florida 34208

Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Expected Starting Salary Range: $58,141.44 - $75,583.87


Provides operational and technical support for the core Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and related software applications. Ensures the effective performance and reliability of HR systems from both a technical and user-facing perspective. Coordinates system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements in collaboration with software vendors and internal IT teams. Identifies and resolves technical issues, researches system errors, and applies necessary corrections. Delivers end-user support and training to promote optimal system utilization.

This individual is proficient in HR technologies and understands the underlying HR business processes. Advanced skills in Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office applications, and database/reporting tools are essential. A working knowledge of relevant employment, benefits, and payroll regulations is required. The successful candidate demonstrates the ability to conduct independent research and contribute to cross-functional problem-solving.

Working Conditions
Indoor/Office situation. Lifting and carrying relevant equipment and materials up to 25 lbs.

Job Description

Essential Functions

Manages the day-to-day functionality and performance of HR systems, ensuring smooth operation and user accessibility across all platforms.

Collaborates with vendors and IT staff to support system upgrades, enhancements, and routine maintenance.

Supports continuous improvement by analyzing, streamlining, and maintaining HR business processes, with an emphasis on reducing manual, paper-based workflows and improving overall departmental efficiency.

Configures administrative access and service-level permissions in accordance with operational needs, security protocols, and regulatory requirements to safeguard employee data.

Responds to user support requests; investigates and resolves system issues and outages; escalates problems to appropriate internal or external contacts and follows up to ensure timely resolution.

Generates and distributes scheduled and ad hoc reports to meet operational, compliance, and strategic needs; builds and monitors dashboards and metrics to support data-driven decision-making.

Maintains, updates, and monitors system interfaces to ensure accurate and efficient data transfer across platforms. Builds collaborative relationships with interface partners to resolve issues promptly and implement required changes.

Develops and maintains system documentation, including user manuals, standard operating procedures, and technical guidelines.

Delivers system training to internal users; partners with internal training teams and external vendors to ensure training resources are accessible and tailored to various levels of technical expertise.

Works in coordination with IT and vendors to tune system performance, diagnose issues, perform data analysis, and implement corrections as needed.

Assists in planning and executing system changes, upgrades, and installations to ensure compatibility with current and future environments.

Evaluates third-party software and hardware solutions, provides input, and participates in decisions related to product selection, system enhancements, and technology investment.

Conducts ongoing evaluations of system security and ensures compliance with Florida Sunshine Laws and applicable data protection regulations.

Performs other related work (including weather or other extreme emergency duties) as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.

Three (3) or more years progressively responsible experience in the administration and maintenance of HRIS systems and related software applications.

Valid driver's license with valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire.

A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements.

Skilled in analyzing complex problems and implementing effective, practical solutions.

Possesses solid understanding of core Human Resources operations and how they apply within an organizational context.

Knowledgeable in relevant regulatory requirements, including the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), necessary for ensuring compliance in HR functions.

Proficient in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) platforms and related software applications essential to carrying out HR responsibilities.

Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with employees, external agencies, vendors, and stakeholders.

Capable of influencing others by effectively conveying policies, procedures, and technical information in an understandable manner to non-technical audiences.

Operates independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating sound judgment and accountability.
