Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. As an In Home Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, ensuring clients receive the highest quality of care while maintaining their dignity and comfort. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor patients’ health by observing vital signs, medication adherence, and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking
  • Provide light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment within the home
  • Support clients with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts, ensuring safe handling during transfers
  • Administer medications following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Engage clients in social activities or companionship to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being

Requirements

  • Prior experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer’s care), or memory care needs is a plus
  • Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involved in patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and family members
  • Compassionate attitude with a passion for providing empathetic patient-centered care
