Overview
Join our compassionate team as an In Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide (HHA), where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in their own homes. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using tools and other assistive devices.
- Monitor and observe patients’ health status by recording vital signs and noting changes in condition or behavior.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being, especially for clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
- Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, laundry, light cleaning, and maintaining a safe living environment.
- Document all care activities accurately using Electronic Health systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals by maintaining detailed medical documentation and communicating any concerns or updates promptly.
Experience
- Prior experience in home health care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or long-term care environments preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures related to patient care, including CPR/HHA/CNA certification
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with seniors, individuals with disabilities, dementia patients, or those requiring memory care or hospice services.
- Experience using EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient record management is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of patient observation techniques and the ability to respond swiftly to changing conditions.
