Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with individuals, particularly children, who have autism and other developmental disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), inside of the client's home. You will play a crucial role in helping clients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life through evidence-based practices.
Duties
- Implement individualized care plans as developed by the BCBA to address behavioral challenges and promote positive behaviors.
- Collect and record data on client progress, ensuring accurate documentation of behavioral interventions and outcomes.
- Assist in educating clients and their families about behavioral health strategies and techniques that can be used at home.
- Maintain medical records and ensure compliance with medical terminology standards while documenting client interactions.
- Support clients in daily activities, fostering independence while providing necessary assistance based on individual needs.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to share insights and strategies for enhancing client care.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is required.
- Familiarity with care plans, data collection methods, and behavioral health principles is highly desirable.
- Experience in assisting individuals with autism or similar conditions will be considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effectively educating clients and collaborating with team members.
- A background in medical terminology is beneficial for maintaining accurate records and understanding client needs.
