OB TITLE: In-House Accountant
DEPARTMENT: Finance
LOCATION: Mandaluyong, Metro Manila, Philippines
REPORTS TO: Finance Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a meticulous and highly organized In-House Accountant to manage our company's day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, and providing timely financial insights to support management decisions. This role is crucial to the financial health and transparency of our organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Bookkeeping and Record Keeping:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, journals, and subsidiary ledgers.
* Process and record all financial transactions (e.g., sales, purchases, receipts, disbursements) accurately and promptly.
* Manage and reconcile bank accounts, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and discrepancies are resolved.
* Accounts Payable (A/P) Management:
* Process vendor invoices, ensuring proper authorization and coding.
* Prepare and process timely payment runs to suppliers and vendors.
* Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
* Accounts Receivable (A/R) Management:
* Prepare and issue accurate and timely invoices to clients.
* Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments.
* Process and apply customer payments.
* Payroll Processing & Compliance:
* Assist in the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
* Compute and ensure timely remittance of mandatory government contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
* Prepare and submit relevant government reports (e.g., Alphalist, BIR Form 2316 for employees).
* Tax Compliance and Reporting:
* Prepare and file various monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (e.g., VAT, Expanded Withholding Tax, Income Tax) with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
* Ensure strict adherence to Philippine tax laws and regulations.
* Stay updated on relevant tax changes and accounting standards (PFRS).
* Financial Reporting & Analysis:
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (e.g., Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Comprehensive Income, Statement of Cash Flows).
* Generate various financial reports as requested by management.
* Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
* Conduct basic financial analysis to identify trends and provide insights.
* Audit Support:
* Assist in preparing for and facilitating internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
* Process Improvement:
* Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Other Duties:
* Perform other accounting-related duties and special projects as assigned by the Finance Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
* Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as an Accountant or similar role, preferably in an in-house setting.
* Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP Business One, or similar ERP systems).
* Excellent command of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial functions) and other MS Office applications.
* Solid understanding of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
* Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation laws and BIR regulations.
* Soft Skills:
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (A Plus!):
* Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a strong advantage.
* Experience in [Specific Industry, if applicable, e.g., Retail, Manufacturing, Tech].
* Familiarity with specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

Pay: Php18,000.00 - Php20,000.00 per month
