Work Location

Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbents will be responsible for performing the following duties, or a combination thereof, as determined by the hiring unit: 1. Facilitate Training and Guidance: Support the preparation and revision of internal and public guidance, participate in training, and provide support to SDI OneGMS support and training team. 2. Document Preparation: Prepare or contribute to drafting documents like presentations, briefings, guidance notes, and talking points for senior staff , as well as take meeting minutes 3. Data Collection and Management: Assist in collecting and organizing data on funding trends, trainings, google analytics, prepare updates and dashboards for management and external audiences using tools like Power BI or Power point. 4. Conduct Research and Draft Advocacy Materials: Support research and data analysis on OneGMS (One Grant Management System), contributing to advocacy and information products, including thematic area, Pooled fund DataHubs and fund allocations. 5. Analyze Complex Data Sets: Analyze and interpret complex data to drive informed decision-making in humanitarian projects and pooled fund allocations. 6. Automate and Build Financial Dashboards: Develop interactive dashboards, automate financial reporting, and monitor payment cycles, fund balances, and KPIs to improve efficiency and transparency. 7. Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications/special skills
•To qualify for an internship with the United Nations Internship Programme, the following conditions must be met: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent). •Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to quickly assimilate processes and systems, is required. •Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Teams, is required. •Knowledge of MS Power BI, Advanced Excel skills, basic skills in Python, and other data visualization tools, is required •Have demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Your training, education, advance work or skills should benefit the United Nations during your internship. •Ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views, is desirable.
Languages
Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required. Knowledge of any of the official languages of the United Nations is desirable.
