The position functions as the Windows Server Engineering - Unit A Manager, in the Technology Services Division's Infrastructure Services Bureau. The ITM1 has full management responsibility and serves in a management role under the general direction of the Assistant Bureau Director (ABD) and functions independently by planning, directing, coordinating and organizing the more difficult, critical, sensitive, technical, and highly specialized assignments and, reviewing implementation and conformance of IT programs with organizational policies and objectives.

The Windows Server Engineering Unit A Manager, through subordinate specialists, directs the activities of staff supporting, technical direction who are tasked with the maintenance, and support of the enterprise, to include Enterprise Tax System’s (ETS) technical software stack, comprised of both custom software and various Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software products installed on roughly 20 technical environments that support the SDLC. Windows Server Engineering Unit A Manager provides supporting mission-critical 24x7x365 applications and services.

Working Conditions

This position is eligible for limited remote working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need. FTB has a minimum in-office requirement of two days per week for all positions including those that are eligible for telework. This is subject to change.
