Atlantic Restaurant & Supermarket Equipment is a leading supplier of commercial refrigeration and cooking equipment. Based in Kearny, NJ, our 50,000 sq.ft. warehouse and showroom serve a diverse customer base of restaurants, supermarkets, and foodservice operators.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and culturally aware Inside Sales Representative to support our growing customer base, particularly clients from Middle Eastern and Hispanic communities. This role involves managing walk-in and online sales, driving showroom traffic, and supporting e-commerce and social media initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to increase showroom foot traffic and drive local awareness.
- Maintain daily showroom merchandising to ensure a clean, professional, and product-rich environment.
- Greet walk-in customers, build strong relationships, and close sales with a consultative approach.
- Manage product listings on our e-commerce platforms; create and update posts, descriptions, pricing, and images.
- Collaborate with marketing to promote items across social media platforms and online marketplaces (e.g., Facebook Marketplace, Instagram, eBay).
- Provide excellent service and communication to a diverse customer base, with sensitivity to cultural preferences and business needs.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher from an accredited college.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in inside sales or e-commerce sales, preferably in the restaurant or supermarket equipment industry.
- Proven ability to serve and communicate effectively with customers of Middle Eastern and Hispanic backgrounds.
- Bilingual candidates (Spanish or Arabic/Turkish) strongly preferred.
- Strong digital skills with experience managing e-commerce content and online selling platforms.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
