Intern - Championship Management

The Best Players Need the Best People. Responsible for assisting the Tournament Services Manager with hospitality, sponsorship activation, volunteer and client services.

Anticipated internship dates : January 8 - March 28, 2025 QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduating senior or graduate student in an accredited four-year college or university or currently possess a bachelor’s degree
• Sports Marketing/Management, Marketing, Management, Communications or comparable liberal arts majors preferred
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Public relations skills and ability to communicate with staff, volunteers, corporate clients, club members and general public
• Must take initiative, operate proactively and think independently in project management and problem solving
• Capacity to work on several projects simultaneously
• Self-discipline with schedule and time management
• Organization, attention to detail and follow-through are crucial
• Strong computer skills

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Actively participate in the pre-planning, logistics and execution of the tournament as well as special events
• Assist with Volunteer Administration: recruitment, data entry, volunteer package preparation, volunteer headquarters management, training plans and execution, meeting schedules, sponsorship elements, etc.
• Update and enhance creative items
• Assist with corporate hospitality, including activation and facilitating relationships with tournament sponsors, clients, vendors, etc.
• Manage pre-event shipping and storage of client boxes
• Develop content and assist with the volunteer social media efforts, website, and newsletter
• Submit credential orders and client requests
• Responsible for the inventory, storage and organization of all tournament apparel, gifts, etc.
• Assist with general administrative work including purchasing, billing, and other duties as assigned
• Communication and public relations with corporate clients and / or volunteers
• Special projects or other duties as assigned
