The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.
Job Description:
- Risk Assessment and Policy Enhancement: Conduct risk assessments and process reviews across cross-functional teams to identify potential gaps
- Evaluate and propose improvements to team structures, processes, policies and system features to mitigate risks effectively
- Control Implementation and Process Optimization: Identify and address control issues, such as procurement controls, system access controls, and policy abuse by buyers/sellers
- Propose data-driven solutions and streamlined processes to enhance operational controls
- Drive the implementation of recommended solutions, ensuring follow-through and sustainable improvements
- Incident Management and Compliance: Support local markets in investigation of major local incidents, and support recovery efforts to minimise financial and reputational risks
- Analyse trends to identify recurring risk areas. Follow up with markets on non-compliance to SOPs, develop action plans to address gaps, and collaborate with product teams to implement system enhancements for better compliance
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards in operational processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or recent graduates, preferably in Business, Operations Management, Finance or a related field
- Proficiency in coding and data analysis tools, namely SQL and Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data sets and draw actionable insights
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
- Display a readiness to actively engage in ground operations, collaborating closely with the team to implement improvements
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards in operational processes
