This position reports to

Head of Applications Robotics and Discrete Automation

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will lead the execution of IS strategic projects in Robotics using either ABB and/or 3rd party resources, to ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with business needs, company procedures, project objectives, applicable quality standards, safety requirements, cost and scheduling targets. You will be mainly accountable for: • In close collaboration with key stakeholders, Business Project Manager define scope of work, cost/budget, resources required, time schedule, detailed work allocation and risk management plans. • Effectively organize, monitor and control activities to ensure achievement of planned stage-gates and efficient utilization of available resources. • Ensure projects follow sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with standard ABB internal directives and procedures. • Serve as the key contact for the project stakeholders, and an escalation point for project issues. Effectively communicate appropriate information to stakeholders in a timely manner and to achieve desired understanding and support. • Manage stakeholders’ expectations and relationship. • Lead the project team allocated to the project, defining main guidelines, allocating project tasks, and motivating and monitoring internal and/or external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones. • Stay informed about any change in global division IS or business strategy and act upon regarding any change or other project which might have a major impact on the projects in scope.

Qualifications for the role

• At least 5 years hands on experience of IS Project
• Experience of Configurators is meritorious.
• Management delivering complex projects on global ABB scale.
• ABB Certification level required: Certification level 3
• Strong documentation, negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills.
• Good ABB Business understanding.
• Well established network inside the IS and business community of ABB.
• Motivated self-starter, with a keen interest in developing and implementing the best practice, creative solutions to the business.
