Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Business Analyst to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will serve as the liaison between the business and technical teams, translating complex business needs into technological solutions. You will analyze business technology requirements and specifications against the value and risk of potential solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business technology requirements and specifications.
  • Identify suitable technological solutions for the business.
  • Design solution blueprints considering integration implications.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Evaluate feasibility and implications of proposed solutions.
  • Balance requests and priorities from key stakeholders.
  • Present business cases defining potential benefits and risks.
  • Create, review, and maintain documentation.
  • Specify business rules for regulatory reporting and operations.
  • Perform functional design and testing of solutions.
  • Maintain best practices around the data dictionary.
  • Interact with developers to define implementation specifications.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams regarding data services.
  • Assist with daily operations using scrum, Jira, and Kanban techniques.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications and Profile:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant activities.
  • Skilled in data analysis using database queries (SQL/Oracle/Sybase), TSQL, and JOINS.
  • Good understanding of microservices and Swagger UI.
  • Basic knowledge of UNIX commands and scripting.
  • Experience sourcing data from various applications (CIBML/Kafka messages/JSON).
  • Strong understanding of CFT concepts.
  • Knowledge of XSLT transformation and tools like Oxygen OS.
  • Desirable knowledge of messaging queue concepts and tools like Hermes.
  • Basic understanding of tools like Grafana, KIBANA, EJB.
  • Good understanding of GIT, JIRA, and Agile project management concepts.

Functional Experience:

  • Experience in supporting capital market applications and trading systems.
  • Expertise in transaction reporting regulations (MIFID2/SFTR/EMIR/CFTC).
  • Strong experience in market data, pricing, clearing & settlement, confirmation, affirmation concepts, and regulatory data sourcing from various upstream platforms (Jet Stream, TradeWeb, MarkitWire).
  • Functional knowledge of financial products (derivative products like IRS, TRS, CDS) & regulatory reporting.
  • Ability to drive end-to-end regulatory projects with complete ownership.
  • Understanding of data sourcing from various front office applications (Kondor, Summit, OT).
  • Experience with capital market processes (pricing, sales/trader workflow).
Works in the area of Software Engineering, which encompasses the development, maintenance and optimization of software solutions/applications.1. Applies scientific methods to analyse and solve software engineering problems.2. He/she is responsible for the development and application of software engineering practice and knowledge, in research, design, development and maintenance.3. His/her work requires the exercise of original thought and judgement and the ability to supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers.4. The software engineer builds skills and expertise of his/her software engineering discipline to reach standard software engineer skills expectations for the applicable role, as defined in Professional Communities.5. The software engineer collaborates and acts as team player with other software engineers and stakeholders.
