Job Summary
The IT Intern will gain hands-on experience in the various aspects of the Information Technology sector. This position will allow an individual to assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the company’s software systems. This collaborative role provides an enhanced view on the industry trends and emerging technologies.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Collaborate with IT team members on projects and tasks.
- Learn and apply coding languages or scripting for automation purposes.
- Assist in network administration tasks, including troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Participate in the testing and evaluation of new technologies and software applications.
- Document IT processes and procedures for future reference.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.
Education and Experience:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and software.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- General IT Knowledge and Troubleshooting Skills
- Working knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft 365 software.
- Excellent problem-solving, customer service, and critical thinking skills.
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period. Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
Travel Requirements:
Little to no travel requirements.
