It Services Business Development Representative

About the Role

We’re seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) with a hunter mentality—someone who thrives on creating opportunities, driving conversations, and uncovering customer pain points through strategic outreach and genuine curiosity. This role is ideal for a proactive, self-starter who measures success through quantifiable results—not just effort.

You’ll be responsible for prospecting, engaging decision-makers, and generating qualified meetings that turn into real business outcomes. Creativity and persistence are essential—you’ll leverage every channel available (cold/warm calling, email, events, networking, and in-person prospecting) to build a strong pipeline and keep it full.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Generation: Identify, research, and engage potential clients through a combination of cold calls, warm outreach, social selling, in-person networking, and event-based prospecting.
  • Metrics Ownership: Consistently meet and exceed weekly/monthly KPIs including:
  • Meetings booked and held
  • New opportunities generated
  • Conversion rates from meeting to opportunity
  • Conversational Mastery: Leverage curious, consultative conversations to identify customer pain points and challenges.
  • Objection Handling: Skillfully navigate pushback with persistence, empathy, and insight to open doors and keep conversations alive.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales and marketing teams to align messaging, share insights from the field, and continuously refine outreach strategies.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate activity tracking and pipeline data in CRM; analyze and report on outreach metrics and campaign performance.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 2–3+ years in business development, sales, or related role, preferably in a fast-paced B2B environment.
  • Mindset: Competitive, results-oriented, and motivated by measurable success.
  • Skill Set: Exceptional verbal communication, active listening, and objection handling.
  • Creativity: Inventive and bold in approach—willing to test new methods to spark meaningful conversations.
  • Resilience: Thrives under pressure, embraces rejection as a step toward success, and adapts to changing conditions quickly.
  • Tools: Familiarity with CRM systems, prospecting platforms, and lead generation tools.

Compensation & Incentives

  • Competitive base salary (based on experience)
  • Incentives for meetings booked and held
  • Commission on closed business (percentage of contract value)
  • After 4 months, this role transitions to a full-time position with benefits
