Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in plumbing, mechanical knowledge, and experience with HVAC systems. This role requires proficiency in various construction and maintenance tasks, ensuring that plumbing systems are installed, repaired, and maintained to the highest standards. The Journeyperson Plumber will work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating expertise in reading blueprints and schematics while adhering to safety protocols.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various plumbing tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine layout of plumbing systems.
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including HVAC specialists and carpenters, to complete projects efficiently.
- Conduct heavy lifting as required for installation or removal of plumbing fixtures and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations during all work performed.
- Assist in welding tasks as necessary for pipe installation or repair.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing installations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a plumber with a valid journeyman/journeywoman license or equivalent certification.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in plumbing, HVAC, maintenance, construction, carpentry, assembly, and welding.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics relevant to plumbing systems.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with plumbing work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
