Junior Bakery Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in our bakery operations, ensuring that our products are prepared, packaged, and presented to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking along with a commitment to maintaining food safety and quality.

Duties
As a Bakery Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the preparation of baked goods according to established recipes and standards, including cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, etc.
• Ensuring all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations.
• Preparing baked products for display and sale, ensuring they are visually appealing.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area to promote a safe working environment.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient bakery operations.
• Monitoring inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages as needed.

Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:

• Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
• A willingness to learn new baking techniques and improve skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings or weekends as needed.
