Summary

ETO Engineering is seeking a Junior CAD / BIM Technician to support our growing portfolio of municipal and infrastructure projects. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career technologist looking to build hands-on experience in engineering design and drafting within a consulting environment.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of senior engineers and technologists with day-to-day project work for water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Contribute to water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including site development, process mechanical and building structural layouts, and single line diagrams
• Prepare high quality and accurate engineering drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT in collaboration with project managers and engineers
• Review drawing submission to ensure compliance with established CAD standards
• Coordinate with project team members to meet deadlines and project milestones
• Actively participate in the design and provide input to the design team throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure the drawings are organized, issued and filed in an appropriate manner
• Continuously develop drafting skills and stay up to date with industry tools and standards

Minimum Requirements

• College diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil engineering, or equivalent training
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in municipal infrastructure design
• Minimum 1 year of drafting experience with AutoCAD. Experience with Revit and/or Civil 3D and/or Microstation is an asset
• Strong proficiency in using Xrefs, layers, and annotation styles in AutoCAD
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including plans, sections, SLDs, notes, dimensions, etc.
• Basic knowledge of engineering principles and standards related to assigned discipline
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office package, Autodesk products, and Adobe or Bluebeam tools
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication collaboration skills

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
