JOB TITLE:
Junior IT Desktop Support Engineer – Dublin office based (full time office based).
THE ROLE:
The Junior IT Desktop Support Engineer will assist in all aspects of IT support, setup and maintenance for the Abbey Group. The role will cover all companies in the Abbey Group (offices in Dublin, Edinburgh and remote locations). The role reports to the Director of Digital Services, Dublin.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
SYSTEMS SUPPORT:
- End user support and troubleshooting of day to day issues (across all locations)
- Responding to staff on IT support requests in a timely manner and within SLA
- Desktop and technical support on-site or via remote-access systems
- Setup desktop hardware/ laptops including service and maintenance
- Office 365 system support and administration
- Application support including Office suite, Travels systems and other in house applications
- Support of 3rd party applications and communication with vendor support
- Support of any other IT managed system
- Some ad hoc out of hours or weekend work and interoffice travel will be required
CORE DUTIES:
- Day to day desktop support
- Any other duties as directed by management
REQUIREMENTS:
- Positive attitude and motivation to help others
- Enthusiastic and willingness to learn
- Self-starter who can take ownership of task completion
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- At least 1 years’ IT support experience or IT related degree
- Ability to work independently on projects
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced and changeable environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure and Cloud technologies would be beneficial
