Eltham South Preschool is a community-run kindergarten dedicated to providing high-quality, inclusive early learning in line with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and the National Quality Framework (NQF). We pride ourselves on being a welcoming, family-focused service that works in close partnership with our educators, families, and Committee of Management to create a safe, nurturing, and well-governed environment for children.
**About the Role** We’re seeking a highly organised and community-minded **Kinder Operations Manager** to oversee the day-to-day operations of our preschool. This is a pivotal role that ensures the service runs smoothly, safely, and compliantly - supporting our educators to focus on what matters most: delivering high-quality educational outcomes for children. Working closely with the teaching team, Committee of Management, families, and external stakeholders, you will lead the operational, administrative, compliance, and business management of the preschool. - **Key Responsibilities** **Operations & Administration** * Oversee enrolments, attendance records and child documentation * Manage day-to-day office operations, systems, and record keeping * Act as the key point of contact for families on operational matters **Regulatory Compliance & Quality** * Ensure compliance with Department of Education, VEYLDF and NQF requirements and play an advisory role on Regulatory matters to the Committee * Maintain documentation to support Assessment & Rating processes * Support the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) **Financial & Business Management** * Assist Treasurer in coordinating accounts (payable/receivable) and financial reporting * Support budgeting and financial planning with the Committee and Treasurer * Maintain appropriate financial controls **People & Culture Administration** * Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff documentation * Maintain compliance records (qualifications, checks, training) * Coordinate professional development and support performance processes **Health, Safety & Risk** * Oversee OHS and child safety documentation, systems and policies * Support incident reporting and risk management processes **Governance & Stakeholder Engagement** * Provide operational support to the Committee of Management * Prepare reports and updates for committee meetings * Engage with key stakeholder including Nillumbik Council, Early Learning Association Australia, Department of Education and other bodies, associations and community partners **About You** You are highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a regulated environment. You bring a strong operational mindset with the ability to support a community-based service. Relevant qualification in business administration, education support, or similar (or equivalent experience)
