Kitchen Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and handling regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils.
  • Assist in meal preparation for various service periods, ensuring timely delivery of dishes.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and communication during service.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
  • Participate in training new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
  • Uphold the restaurant's standards for quality, presentation, and taste in all dishes served.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality food preparation.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • A passion for cooking and a willingness to learn new skills within the food industry.

Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
