Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic kitchen staff. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to dish washing, meal preparation and food service in a fast-paced environment. Your commitment to fast moving, food safety and quality will help us deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and standards.
• Wash dishes and cups. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation.
• Support staff in various tasks as needed, including food handling and cooking.
• Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to food preparation and service.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of meals during peak hours.

Skills

• Strong understanding of food safety practices and procedures.
• Self motivation is essential, fast moving is necessary.
• Experience or interest in the food industry, particularly in a kitchen or restaurant setting.
• Ability to assist with meal preparation, including chopping, cooking, and plating dishes.
• Familiarity with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment is a plus.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others.
• Good communication skills for effective collaboration within the kitchen team.
• Willingness to learn new skills related to food handling and service.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.40 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week
