Build a reliable and rewarding hospitality career as a Kitchen Hand at the Australian Defence Force Academy, Canberra. This role is a key support function within the catering team and is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, consistency, and being part of a team that delivers meaningful outcomes every day.
The Position:
- Part time and full time positions available
- Assist with basic food preparation, including vegetables, salads, and mise en place
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across kitchen, dining, and servery areas
- Support food safety practices, including cleaning, waste management, and stock rotation
The Person:
- Previous hospitality or cleaning experience is an advantage but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and safety standards
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
- Positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to support the wider team
