Kitchen Helper/Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in daily food preparation and kitchen operations. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring that food safety standards are upheld. Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, peeling, and basic cooking under supervision
• Support the serving staff by preparing ingredients and maintaining station cleanliness
• Handle food safely by following proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
• Assist in meal assembly and presentation to ensure timely service
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas throughout shifts
• Follow all food safety regulations and standards to prevent contamination or spoilage
• Support the team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
• Knowledge of food handling safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to perform basic cooking and meal preparation tasks
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting tasks as needed
