Lab Technician - Product Development

Lab Technician

Job Function:

To adjust and finalize color submissions through the use of lab equipment, as well as perform quality control functions.

Position is in Sheboygan, WI Key Responsibilities:

• Learn how to color match, using pigments, dyes and other ingredients.
• Measure out specific quantities of ingredients, using lab scales.
• Learn how to use technical lab equipment such as viscometers, spectrophotometers and more.
• Learn how to qualify production batches in QC.
• Learn how to run injection molding machines.
• Learn how to make lab batches for customer trials.
• Clean work area as needed, and follow all safety rules and regulations.
• File folders, chips, paperwork.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 1-2 years prior experience in a lab environment preferred and plastics industry experience highly desirable.
• Ability to see color accurately (Munsell test given when interviewing).
• Strong number perception, basic math and measurement skills, positive attitude, enthusiasm, and good communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
