Job Description

Olink, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, is looking to hire a Laboratory Technician I to join our Lab Support team within R&D. This position is a temporary assignment to cover for a maternity leave and is based in our Uppsala office. The assignment will start as soon as possible and will run until, at the latest, 31 August 2026.

A Day in the Life

Are you passionate about hands-on lab work and contributing to cutting-edge product development? As a valued member of the team, you'll play a key role in supporting R&D by performing essential laboratory tasks such as:

• Registering and preparing raw materials

• Measuring concentrations, diluting, aliquoting, and precipitating samples

• Ensuring accurate and timely processing to fuel innovation

Beyond the bench, you'll help maintain a well-organized and efficient lab environment. This includes:

• Weekly and monthly cleaning routines

• Dishwashing and utensil management

• Infrastructure upkeep to ensure a safe and functional workspace

You'll also be part of our continuous improvement efforts, helping shape a lab that’s fit for purpose and capable of delivering high-quality products. While the role is primarily operational, it includes some administrative responsibilities to keep everything running smoothly.
