Laboratory Technician (Non-Medical, English Speaking)

Beta Analytic has an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Technician I. This is a full-time hourly position - 40 hours per week. There is the potential for overtime pay when there is the workload demand (paid at 1 ½ the equivalent hourly rate). The position also includes medical insurance and other employment benefits.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Company is currently seeking qualified, hard-working, team-oriented applicants for this laboratory position. Note - We are a production laboratory not a research or medical testing facility.

All technical training specific to the Company’s operations will be provided but having a good aptitude in basic science is beneficial (including school-based lab experience). Applicants should be able to demonstrate an affinity to learn, follow instructions from others and apply the training received consistently and efficiently in daily operations.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred in a basic science field. Chemistry, Geology and Biology is a plus.
• A minimum of one year of hands-on laboratory work including college/university experience.
• Experience with balances, microscopes, chemicals, vacuum systems, pressure fittings, electronics and familiarity with the behavior of gases under changing pressure (physical chemistry) is also a plus.
• Strong Attention To Detail is required.

ADDITIONAL KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be able to communicate in English proficiently.
• The position has physical requirements such as being able to sit or stand for long periods of the day, climbing up and down stairs and regularly lifting as much as 40 pounds.

• Must be comfortable working any day of the week including weekends.
