Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Lead Flooring Technician to effectively manage our flooring installation crews, overseeing daily scheduling, routing, and ensuring all flooring projects meet high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will have expertise in carpet measurement, pre-cutting, installation, and comprehensive quality control experience in multifamily or residential settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage a crew of flooring installers to ensure productivity, efficiency, and adherence to project timelines.
• Coordinate day-to-day scheduling, routing, and assignment of installation jobs.
• Accurately measure and pre-cut carpet and other flooring materials, preparing them efficiently for installation projects.
• Conduct thorough quality control checks on completed installations to ensure all work meets or exceeds company standards and client expectations.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, team members, and management to ensure smooth project operations.
• Train and mentor crew members on best practices in flooring installation techniques and safety protocols.
• Ensure the proper care and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Maintain job-site cleanliness and organization, ensuring a professional appearance and safe work environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in managing flooring installation crews, preferably in multifamily or residential environments.
• Expertise in carpet measuring, pre-cutting techniques, and flooring installation methods.
• Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive quality control inspections, ensuring exceptional workmanship.
• Strong organizational skills with experience in scheduling, routing, and resource management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team leadership and client engagement.
• Physical capability for tasks involving lifting, bending, kneeling, and working in various positions for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with a wide variety of flooring types beyond carpet (e.g., laminate, vinyl, hardwood).
• Certifications or additional training related to flooring installation and workplace safety standards.
