Lead Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Lead Operator Utility (All Machines) - 2nd Shift

$0.50 GUARANTEED RAISE AT 90 DAYS!

Monday - Friday, 2:45pm - 11:15pm

Overtime Required - Saturdays as needed

Summary Operate or direct others to operate a machine that performs one or more packaging functions such as filling, marking, and/or labeling by performing the following duties (other duties may be assigned):

• Make and teach machine adjustments for increased production and quality
• Assess the root cause of machine downtime and adjust or fix the issue
• Ability to operate and train on all machines in company production rooms proficiently
• Able and willing to help the entire production team achieve more - Making sure operators have all they need to maintain a continuous run on the machine(s); such a film rolls, printer ribbon, tape for film change, etc.
• Demonstrate good time management, keeping in mind the productivity of all machines
• Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products
• Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization
• Start machine and observe operation to ensure machine is operating properly
• Inspect filled packs to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications
• Mount supplies such as film on spindles
• Assist production supervisor with overseeing the department

Requirements

• Lift up to 50 pounds as needed during the shift
• Proven troubleshooting ability
• Basic knowledge of computers and ability to input data into a computer and touch screen
• Math skills
• Organizational skills
• Leadership skills
• Working overtime and altered work schedules as deemed necessary by management
