What your days might look like

The Lead People Partners mission is to be a strategic partner to our leaders, enabling them to activate and amplify their people. You’ll be instrumental in driving a high-performance and high-productivity culture across your portfolio, bringing data-driven insights and a deep knowledge of pragmatic advice to activate our leaders. Your role will be pivotal in driving the commercial success of Employment Hero through:

  • Providing world-class, product-led guidance to senior Product & Engineering leaders, enabling execution at maximum velocity
  • Serve as a senior leader in the Performance Ops Team, contributing to the strategic direction and evolution of the People Team’s strategic priorities.
  • Advising on our organisational design, ensuring we’re optimised for success and set up to scale effectively
  • Leading the charge on talent management and succession planning, guaranteeing that we’re enhancing leadership effectiveness
  • Establishing and maintaining a high performance culture across Product & Engineering, aligned to EH expectations and Product Ways of Working
  • Amplifying the Employment Hero Way (Mission First, Remote First, AI First, Apolitical)
  • Collaborating with Talent Acquisition, People Ops and Product Operations to design lean, fit-for-purpose people systems that amplify Product & Engineering performance
  • Understanding your portfolios business, metrics and deliverables to achieve success

As our Lead People Partner - Technology you’ll be responsible for:

Strategic Partnering

  • Act as a trusted operating partner to the CPTO and Product & Engineering leaders, shaping how teams scale, perform, and deliver
  • Partner on organisational design decisions that directly support Product strategy
  • Challenge leaders constructively on structure and people challenges in alignment with Product Ways of Working
  • Support leaders to make fast, high-quality people decisions in line with EH’s Mission-First and High-Performance culture
  • Actively coach Product & Engineering leaders on how to role model the EH Way through their decisions, communication, and trade-offs

Performance, Growth and Delivery

  • Partnering with leaders to drive and sustain high performance through clear expectations, effective performance management, and timely intervention
  • Use data, insight, and judgment to identify performance bottlenecks, capability gaps, or structural constraints
  • Support leaders to run clear, direct, and timely performance conversations aligned to EH’s high-performance expectations
  • Drive talent management initiatives, including workforce planning, succession planning, talent assessment, and leadership development, to ensure an internal pipeline of top talent to meet current and future business needs.
  • Designing talent and performance practices that support continuous delivery, fast iteration, and outcome-based execution

  • Designing people practices that prioritise speed, ruthless prioritisation, and ownership.
  • Coaching leaders to balance rapid execution with clarity, fairness, and sustainability
  • Holding leaders accountable for behaviours that undermine collaboration, humility, or one-team outcomes
  • Ensuring recognition, progression, and feedback reinforce how results are achieved, not just what is delivered

Engagement & Insights

  • Enable leaders by addressing engagement, retention, and burnout risks through analytics, prioritisation, and effective performance management
  • Reinforce async-first, remote-first ways of working, improving focus, autonomy, inclusion, and execution quality across regions
  • Use AI and people analytics to surface actionable insights, identify emerging performance or capacity risks, and inform workforce and leadership decisions
  • Continuously experiment with emerging AI tools to reduce manual overhead and and enable workforce decisions are made at scale

Who you are

  • Proven success in aligning business goals to people strategies, to drive performance and effectiveness
  • Experience in a people partnering role, ideally with large portfolios across multiple geographies
  • Expertise in leveraging AI and HR analytics to provide actionable insights, optimise talent strategies, and support organisational design for global scalability
  • Experience in workforce planning, succession management, and leadership development to build and sustain a strong internal talent pipeline
  • Tech-savvy and experienced working with cross-functional teams, preferably in technology or product led companies
  • Strong commercial and systems thinking; able to connect people decisions to product delivery and business outcomes
  • Comfortable operating with incomplete information, making judgment calls at speed, and constructively challenging senior leaders
