Lead Process Technician

The Role

We are expanding our Lead team and on the lookout for Lead Process Technicians to join us in Blending and Canning team on a Fixed term Contract until December. You will be the lead on shift in a hands on role so a balance in your operational and leadership duties is key.

As the Lead within the team you are responsible for providing guidance on processes within the plant to ensure the team meet production requirements. The role is also accountable for supporting the team on shift, detailed plant and process problem solving, plant walks and inspections.

The main responsibilities of this role include..

• Lead and motivate the Blending and Canning team.
• Run the team shift handover meeting and update the Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meeting board data daily.
• Make key decisions for the team to ensure smooth operation of the shift.
• Support company-wide initiative to improve manufacturing and service performance of plant operations.

This is a fixed term role with an immediate start available. Our roster pattern consists of three rotational shifts operating Monday to Friday, with each shift running for 8.75 hours. The roster pattern is subject to change based on operational requirements.

You must be available to work all three shifts on the rotating roster. Morning Shift - 6:00 AM to 2:45 PM, Afternoon Shift 1:45 PM to 10:30 PM, Night Shift 09:45 PM to 6:30 AM

Skills and Experience We’re Looking For:

We are specifically targeting experienced leaders who bring professionalism, accuracy, and a proactive mindset. You should have:

• 3 years in a manufacturing environment preferred
• 1 -2 years proven leadership experience preferred
• Experience with Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes and procedures
• Proven knowledge of Food Safety and HACCP systems
• Experience in, and applied knowledge of, industrial and personal safety behaviours
• Proven leadership experience

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the dairy or food manufacturing industry in a leadership role. However, if you don't have this background, we still encourage you to apply! We're firstly looking for individuals with the right attitude, commitment, eagerness to learn and dive in. Training will be provided to help you upskill.
