As a Lead Teleradiology Associate, you will provide administrative and technological support for the teleradiology department by sending radiologic images over WAN and LAN between centers and to radiologists. In addition, responsible for training IC Assistants.
This is a full-time in office position, working 40 hours per week. Shifts are Monday-Friday from 9:00am-5:30pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(70%) Technological Support
- Forwards images and paperwork to appropriate radiologist and location
- Check ACUO, eFilm and computers for proper function
- Checks “receive store and forward” RSAF computers for proper function
- Copies CD's of outside read exams when needed
- Troubleshoots Radiology Information System (RIS), ACUO and e Film issues
- Checks Radstore and/or RISLogic for “errors” under pending in a timely manner
- Prints reports for outside comparison films
- Pulls all comparison films and outside reads for appropriate radiologist
- Restores previous exams from DAT, Radstore or Optical Disc as directed by radiologist
- Checks “receive store and forward” RSAF computers for proper function
- Ensures that after hour reads are set up for the radiologist that is to read the scan
- Follows up with radiologist if previous day's exams not read
(25%) Administrative & Staff Support
- Checks department voice mail and email in a timely manner
- Replenishes department office supplies including fax machine and printer paper
- Takes roll over scheduling calls and schedules exams/biopsies
- Assists medical records department as needed
- Manages overall staffing levels for adequate coverage at all times
- Ensures comprehensive knowledge of company policies, procedures and protocols for all teleradiology assistants
- Works with and trains IC Assistants
- Promotes and motivates good customer relations with patients, physicians, visitors, and other company personnel
- Leads regular staff meetings and employee one-on-ones
(5%) Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical terminology
- Minimum 1 year Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Proficient with using computer systems and typing
Preferred:
- Radiology experience
